Where should I go next?
As my State list shrinks it is harder to decide where to go next. I’ll share my thoughts along with more photos from the trips I’ve taken. My first step was to check for time share resorts. There are other exchanges I can use but the easiest to get a reservation for are the “Destinations” so I have split my list into primary locations , those with a timeshare resort, and secondary locations. Places I will need either an exchange or a local motel.

Another interesting activity is a day trip to Dauphin Island. It’s about an hour and 30 minutes from Orange Beach and a 40 minute ferry ride but on Dauphin Island is the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, one of the largest of its kind on the east coast. I’m already itching to get my camera out. Some of the best bird pictures I’ve ever taken were in sanctuaries!

Orange Beach is beautiful! It can be very hot in the summer.
I’m considering a “shoulder season, spring or fall, All depends on availability. Still checking other states too but really like your input! It helps a lot!
That area is very nice! Dale and I used to go to conferences for our work in that very same area every year. Usually hurricane season runs June through November so December through February, April or May would probably be best. Check to see if where you are wanting to go close for winter because some restaurants and attractions close for a couple of months during the winter. March is when all the schools take spring break and it’s crazy during that time so personally I would not recommend going then. My son lives a little over an hour from there in Florida and my niece lives less than an hour on the Alabama side.
