A little Bit of Wyoming

Out in The West in Wyoming

Recently, I was trying to decide which vacation has been my favorite, and I just couldn’t choose. Then I started going through some of my photos from October 2017, and there was Wyoming staring me right in the face.

The Teton Mountains tower over the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park, where golden autumn foliage and snow-covered peaks are reflected in the still water beneath a brilliant blue sky.

When I think about that trip, I usually remember all the wildlife I saw and photographed: deer, moose, several bears, pronghorns, and bison. Sometimes that makes me forget the incredible landscapes.

Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park is like that. Out on Antelope Flats, the land stretches wide open, and then the mountains seem to rise straight from the valley floor. There’s no gradual climb, no foothills, just the Tetons reaching for the sky. On a clear day, the sky can be a breathtaking blue, and through it all, the Snake River winds its way across the landscape.

I put together this reel for another page I administer, and I’d like to share it here as well. I hope you enjoy it. If you’ve never been to Jackson Hole, I hope it inspires a future visit. And if you have been there, I hope it brings back some wonderful memories.
